As a young designer, I am always looking to expand my experience and passion within design and creativity. I believe that the best way to grow a creative career is to be creative outside your career! Pursing the craft in every aspect of my life; I love to explore new techniques and skills that will allow my self to be creatively fulfilled outside the office (my most recent venture is exploring the world of 3D design).
Although I enjoy most all creative work, My background is in branding and packaging, as well as developing strategy to pair with products and branding. I often find myself gravitating towards anything that will allow me to think creatively. I like to find unique and distinctive solutions to the strangest of problems.
My current role as a Graphic Designer for 116 & West allows me to wear a lot of hats. Which I love! From branding, to music composing, to photography to package design, 116 & West gives me daily challenges to grow, learn, and try new things. My most recent adventure was redesigning coffee bags and boxes for Alchemist coffee. These products ended up on the shelves of 320+ Walmarts across the west coast.
As a graphic designer for Namebrand, my job was to take brands and apply them to different promotional materials. Designing products like a 100% custom hat for ICCU or a monopoly board with Namebrand's Branding. In my last two months at Namebrand, I started shifting into more conceptual RFP work, where I would create several different concepts for promotional material along with a marketing campaign to go with the products. This Job allowed me to experience the robust nature of good brand identity and allowed me to dip my toes into the world of strategy and packaging design.
Foerstel is a design firm located in Boise, ID that specializes in Branding and sustainable food packaging design. As a Junior Art Director at Forstel, my main responsibilities were to; create print-ready files and send them to production, expand a package design into a line of different flavors or SKUs, and create unique and creative packaging and branding. My time at Foerstel allowed me to grow as a designer in areas such as packaging and print design. It also pushed me to learn new skills like 3D design.
